Be there for what matters.
Dinner with your family. A weekend with friends. An afternoon doing something you love. Having time to enjoy the life you’re building.
The Wyoming Dave mindset
Freedom means something different to everyone. Give yourself the chance to discover what it means to you.
Wherever you’re from
Ask ten people what freedom looks like and you’ll probably get ten different answers. Maybe it’s more time with your family, a business of your own, a place you’ve always wanted to see, or a quiet morning with nowhere you have to be.
It doesn’t matter where you’re from or where you’re starting. Wyoming Dave is a mindset that represents the pursuit of freedom. There’s room here for your version of it.
Dinner with your family. A weekend with friends. An afternoon doing something you love. Having time to enjoy the life you’re building.
Take the trip. Learn something new. Take a step toward the idea you keep coming back to. Let yourself see where it could lead.
A little less weight on your shoulders. The space to slow down, appreciate what’s in front of you, and feel present in your own life.
A note from Dave
When I picture freedom, I picture a ranch out West, tucked into the mountains. At the end of the day, Gianna and I are lying in the grass looking up at the stars. We’ve got nowhere else to be.
I want room for family to be close, time to take a trip when the snow is good, and summer days back on the water in Jersey. I want to be able to spend an afternoon with the people I love without watching the clock.
That’s the life I’m working toward. The ranch is the place I picture. Getting to choose how I spend my time, and who I spend it with, is the part that feels like freedom.
The motto I live by
There will always be things you can’t control. Other people’s choices. The timing. The outcome, even when you’ve given something everything you have.
“If you can’t control something, you can’t stress about it. If you stress about everything you can’t control, you’ll never get anywhere.”Dave Budd
That’s the reminder I try to live by. Put your energy into what you can do today. Make the effort. Take the next step. Have faith as the rest unfolds.
Keep moving forward
Think about the days you want more of. Who you want beside you. What you want to make time for. Start there, and take one step toward it.
You can care deeply about your future and still give yourself permission to enjoy today. Wherever your road leads, I hope you find a little more freedom along the way.
Life’s short. Take the trip.
